Yesterday, I had the pleasure of exploring a new bead store, which was pretty much like unleashing a hungry six-year-old in a candy shop. My local store closed up shop a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been dying to add some bright colors to my mix for spring. What got me most excited, however, was deciding to purchase a chasing hammer and bench block so I can make my own ear wires. (Woohoo!)
In my first attempt, I decided to go the easy route and copy the wires for a pair of earrings that Jess gave me. They’re long and simple and quite lovely. After some bending and a bit of hammering, here they are: slightly irregular but with the general shape intact. Chasing hammer, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
