Foodie Friday: Oh, Chocolate

In the month of chocolate I could not help but trying my hand at chocolate truffles. I learned two cool things about these treats. First, I did not realize that truffles were made to look like fungus truffles and were rolled in cocoa powder to look like dirt on the mushrooms. I also learned that this rich dessert is the easiest thing to make. Check out Joy of Baking to whip these up for yourself.

    Yes! Isn’t it weird truffles are super super easy to make? Why are they so expensive then? I took a chocolate making class with my sister at Sur La Table and they taught us a good recipe for truffles. I unfortunately can’t make them by hand because my hands are so warm I instantly melt the chocolate into a goopy mess 🙂

    Why are they so expensive?!?!?! I feel like we have been had! Did you just make chocolate truffles or did you add any other flavors or toppings to them?
